Why goal #99

Goal #99 - Find a long term project for Jason and I to do together. And, no, cleaning house doesn't count. ;)

There's no complicated explanation for this one. Just quality time with my son. Again, like the cruise thing...something memorable that we can talk about years down the road...like "Mom remember when we built that such-and-such." or "remember when we volunteered for a whole year at XYZ place". I still haven't come up with any ideas, so I'm definitely open to suggestions. He's 12. I thought about maybe building a model car or volunteering somewhere with him. Thoughts?

Boy Scouts?

I know it's not really a you and him thing, but they get alot of projects and have merit badges to work on. Tons and tons of other benefits as well.

Do you guys hike? Geo-caching is pretty popular. Use a GPS to find things hidden by other familys and stuff.

Oooh!! Good suggestion about the hiking/geo-caching. It might be easier if someone hadn't stolen my GPS out of my car recently, but I'm in the processing of replacing it. I'll have to check that out because I love hiking and camping and so does he. He checked out the boyscouts thing a while back, but oddly enough, wasn't too keen on it. Good thoughts though! Thanks!

I have a great older GPS you could use.

It doesnt do turn by turn directions (Its so old) it just has an arrow that points in the direction and your own your own to get there. Would work just fine in the woods.

Send me/Sarah and email and i'll mail it out.
